Scholarship Award Guidelines
The Board is responsible for awarding scholarships to a Open, Adult Amateur and Junior/Youth member each year and verifying the following:
- Member shall only receive a CTDS scholarship once every two years.
- Only one member of a family unit shall receive a scholarship per year.
- Scholarships are non-transferable.
- Scholarship value shall not exceed the amount specified by the Board.
Consideration for scholarships shall be based upon approved volunteering, activity within the club – showing at mini shows, rated shows, clinics, etc…. and/or volunteering at Region 9 Championship show during the Awards year (November 1 of preceding year to September 30th of current year).
Volunteer hours may be earned by working at mini shows, Bluebonnet show, Fall Finale, assisting with CTDS sponsored clinics, helping organize the Annual Awards Banquet and any other CTDS sponsored function. Double volunteer hours are earned by volunteering at the Region 9 Championship Show (verified by report from Region 9).
The scholarships will be awarded at the CTDS Year End Awards Banquet.
